Finally, EA’s sequel to the amazingly popular casual defense game and Mad Fingers’ highly anticipated FPS is now available for download via Google Play!

Plants VS Zombies 2 is now up for Android after some two months of waiting and/or playing it over the iOS back in August. EA’s popular defense game that pits plants against brain eating zombies will once again give those fingers a workout. The game was spotted initially in Australia and New Zealand last week but it came with a quite heavy 169MB download weight, so you might as well leave some room should you want to get busy AGAIN.

Moreover, the zombie shooting, chicken hurling Dead Trigger 2 was also meted with an Android good to go signal that will definitely have those itchy trigger fingers on queue. As promised, Mad Finger appointed DT2 with some upgrades, including new weapons, intense graphics and yes, more zombies.

The long wait is over! BBM for Android is officially released.

The Blackberry App was delayed by a month because of the leaked app that caused Blackberry  network congestion. To date  around 18K+ downloads and the feedback at Google Play is very positive. Currently the Backberry Messenger network is almost full that the system will queue your registration to avoid congestion. I was able to make an account with no problem and for those BBM users already after you download the app for Android you can login with ease.

I know EA prioritized the iOS when they rolled out Plants vs. Zombies 2 but as we all say, “late is better than never” simply hits the spot right here.

“Very soon” is all that we got when it comes to the sequel of the addictive defense game, but at least we will have our hands (read: fingers) on PVZ2 and will be available on devices running Android Gingerbread 2.3 and up. It’s free-to-play and, just like those games that will be released on the same timeline, in-game purchases, power-ups and the like are to be anticipated that will help you finish the game.

As of this writing, Plants vs. Zombies 2 are currently under soft launching in other countries. The Philippines, however is somewhat on the later pages but we’ll update you guys once it’s here, or somewhere near the Pacific Ocean.

Quickoffice, Microsoft’s rendition of their already too familiar and easy to use word and document processing tool is now for free via Android’s Play Store and the iOS’ App Store. I’m sure most of us (if not all) would like to have a document editor and reader right at our disposal and this is just the case of Google: providing us with the fastest and the most convenient way to view, edit and store MS Office documents without the hassle of formatting and alternative viewing.

I’ve been using Quickoffice since I got my tablet and I’ve got to say that it has saved my behind from that annoying voice of your editor, screaming at you to pass your articles. And as far as I’m concerned, I am more than happy to have the new version, as it will let me save my work over at Google Drive.

But wait, there’s more! Google says that if you guys install the Quickoffice by the 26th of this month, you’ll be getting an additional 10GB of Drive storage for two years! That’s right, folks! 10GB of free space for two years! Sweet offer, eh?

I myself is a huge Dead Trigger fan and literally all of those zombie games available and compatible with my device. But Madfinger caught me with a big smile on my face and lots of “overtime” to boot, just to get off one level.  But, hey, it’s all worth it. Part of the overhaul included in Dead Trigger 2 will be the ditching of premium currency and weapons and should be replaced by a crafting system. Players will also have their personal hideouts with NPC support as well.

Online compatibility was also hyped up and players from around the world will get to play with each other and share missions and rewards. Weekly missions and monthly content updates are expected from Madfinger to roll out. Adding to the already horrid situation that one must battle hordes of zombies on a daily basis, Dead Trigger 2 will also have a bit of a funny side. I mean, just look at the screenshot: it’s not everyday that you’ll see rocket chickens on you side.

Google Drive users will get a 5GB storage for free and if you think that this is not enough, it will cost you $2.49/month for 25GB, 100GB for $4.99/month and even 1TB for $49.99/month. This price is very affordable especially for small and medium enterprises.

The best thing about Google Drive is it is cross platform. Google Drive App is available for PC & Mac (still waiting for Linux), Android Smartphone and Tablets. Apple iPhone and iPad Google Drive app is coming.  Basically you can work with your Computer or to your Mobile devices anywhere and and anytime.

Instagram is today’s talk of town both on iOS on Android platform. After being successful on iOS platform this photo-sharing app garnered over 30-million active users and recently it was released on Android.  Another milestone of Instagram was on Monday when they announced that Facebook will acquire the company with the whooping price of $1-billion USD even the valuation price is at 500-million, doubling the price after the week. The photo-sharing social networking site is just 17 month old and it became a total success thanks to iOS users.

Android users were jealous because the photo-sharing app is only available on Apple devices and last week it was officially launched on Android. Android welcomed the service with full open arms and 6 days after its release on Google Play Store it reaches nearly 5-million downloads.  If you think that this is a small number think again. It took Instagram for iOS 6-months to reach 6-million users and I think the total success of Instagram on Android is that it already have great foundation on iOS and they should get the credit too.

Last night when I checked Google Play Store there were only 3 downloads of the newly released Instagram for Android and after 24-hours, it set the record of 1 to 5 million plus downloads. According to Kevin Systrom, over 2,000 Android users were signing up for new accounts every single minute.

This one of the most awaited and download app for Android to date. I guess the reason for this is that Instagram was exclusive only in iOS for more than 2-years and been an active photo-social networking site since then. The current user of Instagram is around 26-million and with addition of Android on their portfolio this will give a huge boost.
