Smart Communications Philippines is having ‘Piso Sale’ handset promo on their selected Android devices and non-Android phones.  The two Android devices Netphone 701 and Huawei IDEOS are among the included in the promo. CEs 2012 – HUAWEI announced the 6.68mm thick Ascend P1 S Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone. Lets start with its processor TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 CPU clock at 1.5 GHz and SGX 540 for graphics. It has 1GIG of RAM and 4.3″ qHD AMOLED display at 960 x 540 resolution. The camera is an 8-Megapixel for the rear and supports 720p video recording and 1.3 for the front camera.  At 6.68mm Huawei is able to fit the 1800mAh battery.

It will be available in metallic black, ceramic white, cherry-blossom pink and heading to Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Australia, Middle East and China this coming second quarter of 2012. No pricing announced yet:

Huawei IDEOS U8150 – probably the cheapest android phone in the market today. Here in the Philippines it cost ranges from 6,000 to 8,000 for the unlock version. It does not mean that a cheap phone it has no good, the IDEOS U8150 update to gingerbread attracts more Pinoy Android users here in the Philippines.  It is now available at some Smart Wireless Center.

With the competition from various manufacturers like Apple, RIM, and Nokia the open-handset alliance is trying to match this my producing  budget friendly Android powered cellphones.
We don’t need to spend more than $5000 for some high-end Android phones. I always advise to friends and family members that when you buy a gadget choice only that suits to your needs. Being a wise gadget buyer does not mean that you will sacrifice everything. This is one of the best thing about Android phones it caters for all users from enthusiasts to android hardcore users.

This phone was launched by Huawei here in the Philippines last December and was anticipated that by January it will be available in the Philippine market. As previously reported the Huawei Idios U1850 price will be around Php 9000 and now it will be available in a much lesser price.

Huawei U1850 specs; Android 2.2 Froyo, it has flash support, 525Mhz processor and 256MB RAM. The ROM is 512MB just enough for few applications. The expandable storage via microSD up to 32Gigabyte.
