Oh. Thanks. I saw the past comments on the link.  

No luck in updating my Ace. Kies still says my phone's firmware is up to date.   I just sent an e-mail to Samsung Philippines regarding the Gingerbread update for SG Ace. I hope I'll get a response soon.

Have you tried updating your Ace to Gingerbread through Kies?

Hey guys. I just connected my Ace to my PC to check if the update is available through Kies. Alas! The firmware update is already available.  I'll post immediately after I've updated and played around with my phone.

Hello again. I fell asleep while updating my phone. Haha. I woke up and saw my phone in Gingerbread. Yay. 

Overall, the update was okay. Most of the update were visual (notification bars, icons, Samsung keypad, font, and music UI) but one noticeable difference is that its snappier compared to Froyo. There are less lags when I browse the phone. The updated Android Market application also works faster compared to Froyo.

Still, I need to check the issue about the 3G connection that was posted on the blog about the release of the update on Ace. I will update as soon as I've don testing it. 

**and I received a response email from Samsung Philippines regarding the Gingerbread update through Kies. They said that the update is available already and I can have my phone updated on Samsung Mobile stores.

• watsonchad576: I just recently found z4 root for my phone since it was't in the shop. I really had a hard time finding it. but I finally got it and my ipod touch loads just fine it's my computer and wii that won't actually sign in. they read the wireless tether but won't log in now i'm stuck with this slow cricket usb modem. can someone help me?

• watsonchad576: I really dig all the aps for my android but for some reason It's hard to do any other thing besides you tube. does anyone have any advise for me. I downloaded zeeware and all the differant channels made me feel like a kid in the candy store and it was free. then it wasn't compatible what do I need to do to make my phone compatible?
