Sony Ericsson officially posted the release date of the much anticipated XPERIA PLAY. The venue would be the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain.
XPERIA PLAY is powered by Qualcomm -1Ghz processor, Adreno 205 GPU, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 512 MB RAM / 1024 MB ROM of Memory. The LCD display is 4.0 inches @ 854 × 480 pixels. This will be the first Android gaming smartphone perfect for people who loves to play games while on the road. Sony Ericsson will launch its own market place where you can buy games for Gingerbread OS.
It has 5.0 Megapixel camera with LED flash, Music player (MP3), Video player (MPEG-4). With Android 2.3, it supports flash player for video streaming sites like Youtube. So, this is a complete gaming and multimedia system on the go.
For connectivity it suports GSM, 3G (HSDPA), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. MicroUSB for data port. Expandable memory is also supported using microSD.
