Honeycomb will be Android 2.4?

Google Android Chief Architect Andy Rubin took the stage at the Dive Into Mobile conference in San Francisco California demonstrating the Motorola Tablet which was running on the next version of Android, the Honeycomb.honeycomb 300x187 Honeycomb will be Android 2.4?

Rumors speculated that the Honeycomb will be the Android 3.0 but according to Androidandme.com’s reliable source who’s a 3rd party application developer for Honeycomb. The new version will be labeled as Android 2.4 and might be available this February 2011 during the Mobile World Congress. The Android 3.0 which may be labeled as Icecream will be released in Google IO to be held on May 10, 2011.

Next year’s MWC 2011 is loaded with keynote speakers who happen to be CEOs of companies heavily focussed on Android. Notables include Google’s Eric Schmidt, HTC’s Peter Chou, and Qualcomm’s Dr. Paul Jacobs. Most analyst agree that NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor is the lead platform for Honeycomb, so it will be interesting to see what HTC and Qualcomm have been working on together.

While, Google is preparing something big this Google IO 2011.
