Introduced at Intel Keynote in CES 2012 is the  Intel ‘Medfield’ Atom Z2460 chip with its partner Lenovo. Lenovo launched the K800 Android smartphone and the first smartphone to be powered by Intel Atom Z2460 ‘SoC’.

Lenovo packed the K800 with some awesome goodies, according to some sources, the K800 should be running Android 4.0 ICS however in the announcement it is using Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Lenovo K800 uses LeOS skin for user interface ‘UI’ compared to Mondrian where it is being used by Lenovo IdeaTab S2 and IdeaPhone S2. Another nifty feature that Lenovo is talking about is the WiDi  which enable screen sync to a Smart TV at 720p HD. I am not sure what is the difference between WiDi and DLNA. (I will research on that after the break)

Other worth mentioning specs of this Intel based smartphone are its 4.5-inches HP  display, an 8-Megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G.  At the time of the CES K800 launching it is already being sold in China China Unicom and Lenovo has no plans of selling it worldwide.

CES 2012 – Lenovo started the week long event by announcing three gorgeous Android devices. From small to shall I say massive Android devices! Lets start with Lenovo IdeaTab S2 10. This is a 10-inches Android tablet powered by a dual core Snapdragon 8960 processor. The OS is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Lenovo added their own UI called ‘Mondrian‘.
Ideaphone S2 [CES 2012] Lenovo Ideaphone S2, Lenovo IdeaTab S2, Lenovo K91 Smart TV jaw dropping Android devices

The second to the list is the Lenovo Ideaphone S2. According to Lenovo is one of the most secured smartphone today because of its encrypted kernel. Its OS is Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Mondia UI. The Camera is an 8-Megapixel with Panorama capability along with front facing camera.

The last device is a jaw dropping and I think this is a superb Android device. The Lenovo K91 is 55-inch 3D capable Smart TV powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon 8060 Snapdragon processor. It has a 5-Megapixel camera in the bezel with 240Hz HD IPS LCD Display. The ICS interface has been reworked to cater to this kind of display and Lenovo called this “Sandwich” UI.

The Lenovo K91 Smart TV features Video on Demand (VoD), regular TV programming and Internet apps. That’s right folks! This TV can run Android apps and can access Google Android Market and Lenovo’s very own app store.  Video streaming is supported in HD and 3D. Contents can be from any sources like from the cloud, online storage, PC, and even in other Lenovo Android devices like the S2 and IdeaTab S2. It can also controlled via the S2 and Idea Tab if you fill not using its own remote control.

This three Android devices from Lenovo are already on sale in China and plans to sell it abroad though no pricing was announced.

So what do you think of this three devices? Personally the K91 is one mean machine.

The LePad international price is around $399 and $499 USD. It was reported that Lenovo will not sell this tablet in the international market, maybe that China market alone will suffice the targeted number they need. It will due this March in China and for the international market this June. Unlike Galaxy Tab 10.1, Xoom and LG G-Slate (running in Honeycomb) target market is North America, Lenovo couldn’t say where is the targeted market. But I am looking forward for LePad SouthEast Asia market including the Philippines.

This LePad video shows as a hybrid system with Windows 7 and Android Slate in-one.
