Our "Sony" Android siblings can now taste the newest dessert from Google as the company announced the roll-out of Android 4.0 to Xperia S devices.
Along with enhancements from the new operating system, the update also adds additional features to Sony-specific apps such as Walkman, Album and Movies on the current flagship device.
It's only a matter of time before this actually hits your notification area (oh by the way, it's done primarily via OTA). You can also check it via the Xperia Update, PC Companion or Bridge for Mac users. Like other Android manufacturers though, availability depends on the batch we're in. Sony says this the batches are according to what they call the Sales Index, which is on the sticker inside the back panel of your phone (it's actually 3rd from the top left corner).
