Smart Netphone – price, data plan

SMART Philippines recently launched their self branded Android smartphone called Smart Netphone. This smartphone is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo and 600Mhz Qualcomm processor with Adreno 200 GPU.

Currently Smart offers this phone for Php 9,900 for Prepaid and Free for Postpaid starting for plan Data Lite.  For prepaid subscriber for only Php20 you can have unlimited social network streaming.

The Smart Netphone is a customized ZTE Blade. It is also known as DELL XCD35 and Orange San Francisco in Europe. The online retail price for this model is around $225 USD dollar which is reasonable for Smart price’s at Php 9,900.

This smartphone is a mid-range Android phone at 600Mhz. The Android operating system Froyo is quite old and hopefully Smart will provide atleast Gingerbread update to this phone since the Android 4.0 Ice Cream is coming this fall. With its price it is reasonable in its criteria.
