Nokia N900 running on Android Gingerbread

Accoring to Nokia CEO Stephen Elop Android will not work in his device but the guys from NITDroid proved him wrong. This is the latest hack to run Android on Non Android phones. The NITDroid team successfully ported the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread over to Nokia’s flag ship device the N900.

Alexy Roslyakov aka Drunkdebugger the leader of NITDroid team got Gingerbread ported over to Nokia’sN900 in no time. The first version have calling features, wifi, bluetooth and some other features. Hopefully the stable build will be available by the end of the year. The team was also the first to port Froyo on N900 after 24 hours of the source code is  being released.

So, if you want  Android on Nokia N900, the complete guide on how to install Android on N900 is freely available at NITDroid Wiki.

Note: Do it with your own risk, the information provided stay at is. PinoyDROID does not guarantee it will work on your device. Doing the hack/porting will void your warranty. Don’t forget to backup your OS.
