LG Optimus 2x – officially released
LG OPTIMUS 2x with Tegra 2 Processor for high-end multimedia and gaming experience.
Previously known as the LG Star, Korean Electronics and Mobile company LG officially released today (December 16, 2010) the new addition the Optimus Android Phone line, the LG Optimus 2X. This is the world’s first Dual Core Android Smartphone to hit the market.
Inside this Dual Core Smartphone is the system-on-a-chip Nvidia Tegra 2. This chip have two ARM Cortex processor with on-board GPU. With this power, browsing is simply faster and gaming experience is smoother compared to single core smartphones. Just imagine yourself back in time during the early adaptation from single core to dual core CPU computers.
Primary features of this are the 1080p playback and video recording. It has HDMI out that can be plug to any HD display to experience full HD viewing. The LG Optimus 2X can connect wirelessly to any DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible digital device such as HD TVs for a console-like gaming experience taking full advantage of the phone’s HDMI mirroring, gyro sensor and accelerometer. It has front facing and back camera, a microUSB, memory exansion slot for SDMicro and heavy power 1500mAh battery pack.
Optimus 2x will be available in Korea this coming January 2011, Europe and other Asian coutries will follow. In its debut is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo and upgradable to Gingerbread. The Gingerbread update will be announced in local market after the release.
