LG Optimus 4X HD – The First Nvidia Tegra 3 Quadcore Powered Smartphone
One week before the Mobile World Congress and LG seems cant wait that long. LG just announced the LG Optimis 4X HD and the first smartphone announced that is powered by Nvida Tegra 3 Quad-Core SoC and LG’s first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device. Last year it was also LG got the Guiness award as the first dual core smartphone – the LG Optimis 2X.
Other than it is using the latest quad-core Tegra 3 from Nvidia, the display is worth mentioning as it uses LG’s IPS display at 4.7″inch display. If you compare the display size – the Galaxy S II is at 4.3″, Galaxy Nexus is at 4.65″.
LG Optimus 4X HD Specs:
- Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
- Tegra 3 Quad-Core Processor at 1.5GHz
- 4.7″ IPS display at 720p
- 8MP rear camera and 1.3MP front shooter
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB onboard storage
- 2150 mAh battery
- Razor thin 8.9mm thickness
- SHSPA+ 21Mbps connectivity
The battery size is very good at 2150MAh if you compare it to dual-core predecessors which is around 1650mAh. I guess we have to wait for more Optimus 4X HD goodies next week at MWC 2012.
