Few months ago Samsung officially handover the source of the Samsung Galaxy S2 to CyanogenMod developers with one statement ““Make your CyanogenMod work on the Galaxy S II.” and now the devs of the CyanogenMod is happy to announce that the widely used custom firmware is going to release a version for the Galaxy S II.
As soon as the builtbot works for Galaxy S2, they will release it to the public according to Atin M – CyanogenMod Dev.
Third party custom firmware like CyanogenMod will replace the stock Android operating system in your phone. It offers customization, additional features and enhancement that is not currently available in the stock OS. The firmware is also said to make Android devices perform better, more stably, and more reliably.
