Good news Sony Ericsson Android phone users. All Xperia 2011 Android phones will get Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update. The update first active in Nordic region and slowly propagating the Android world.
The line up of the 2011 Xperia Android phones are: Xperia™ arc, Xperia™ PLAY, Xperia™ neo, Xperia™ mini, Xperia™ mini pro, Xperia™ pro, Xperia™ ray, Xperia™ active, Xperia™ neo V, Xperia™ arc S and the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™ .
Another highlighted update is for Xperia Play. The new update will enable the HD recording but it will not have 3D Panorama tool. This update is for unlock units and carrier lock units will have to wait for your carrier to provide the updates.

- Gesture input – text input by swiping the finger from one letter to the next
- WiFi DLNA
- Screen capture – allows the user to share a screen grab from anywhere in the phone.
