The battle for world’s thinnest smartphone rages on. First it was the Samsung Galaxy S II, followed by Fujitsu Arrow, Motorola Droid Razr and now the Ascent P1 S.
CEs 2012 – HUAWEI announced the 6.68mm thick Ascend P1 S Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone. Lets start with its processor TI OMAP 4460 Cortext-A9 CPU clock at 1.5 GHz and SGX 540 for graphics. It has 1GIG of RAM and 4.3″ qHD AMOLED display at 960 x 540 resolution. The camera is an 8-Megapixel for the rear and supports 720p video recording and 1.3 for the front camera. At 6.68mm Huawei is able to fit the 1800mAh battery.
It will be available in metallic black, ceramic white, cherry-blossom pink and heading to Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, Australia, Middle East and China this coming second quarter of 2012. No pricing announced yet:
