As for Android 2.4 according to Engadget, most likely it will become an incremental update for Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Android 2.4 will add new features that was not available in Gingerbread. This is due to some evidence like those in the latest Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc with an Android version that was nothing seen before. This report is still a rumor but the Honeycomb is for real its Android 3.0

Motorola announced today that one of their first tablet, the Xoom, will be one of the first to run Honeycomb.  The Xoom will feature a dual-core processor at 1 GHz, 1280X800 resolution, a 10.1-inch touchscreen 16X10 display, and a rear-facing camera that can capture 720p HD video.”
