New Samsung Galaxy S II Custom Firmware leaked

another-android-ics-rom-for-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-leaks-1After the release of the official source code of the Android 4.0 ICS many have tried to port it to the Galaxy S2 [SGS2] while waiting for the official ROM that will be available by Q1 of 2012 according to Samsung. Now, there is one Android 4.0 custom ROM for the Galaxy S II spotted in the wild but it’s buggy and still at early stage of development. At, SamMobile a new version just surfaced.

The new version at SamMobile includes Task Switcher (a taskmanager with swipe capability), the latest web browser, face unlock and Touch Wiz Ui. It is a Samsung build dated December 8, 2011 but it is considered a CUSTOM ROM and if you try to Flash your phone with this ROM for a try I guess it will count your flash counter thus voiding your warranty but if you are a risk taker or an expert flasher you can try it.

How to Install/Flash Custom Android 4.0.1 to Samsung Galaxy S2 [SGS2]

1. Download the file I9100XXKP2 DOWNLOAD with password: samfirmware.com

2. Run ODIN with the following configuration: ODIN + .PIT + PDA/CODE file.

Warning: Because you flash this rom with “unsecure” kernel the phone thinks its “CUSTOM”and will start counting on your custom counter. You will loose your warranty because of this.
